Uniform / Weapons Requirements
http://cobra3rdnightwatch.com/?page_id=43
Greetings! By now, you will have realized that there’s not much to construct on the uniform. The only thing that needs to be put together is the uniform coat. Bear in mind, I don’t sew, so some of the terminology could be wrong here. The goal is to have your coat ready to go, with a panel on the front that is attached on the left hand side of the coat and fastens on the right hand side of the coat (as you are wearing it). Here’s how you do it -
What you will need -
Two navy blue BDU tops (see the uniform requirements page).
Snap strip (approx 4 feet or so)
Step 1 – Deconstruct the back portion of the larger of the two BDU coats.
Step 2 – Sew the edges of that panel into seams on the two sides and the bottom (NOT THE TOP), so that the edges aren’t all frayed and sad.
Step 3 – Line up the panel on your BDU coat. Make sure that the panel is lined up all the way to the left seam of the BDU coat, and that the top lines up with the collar-bone seams on both sides. The panel SHOULD cover up the pockets on the right side of the BDU coat. On the panel, mark out a slight ‘V’ for the neck area.
Step 4 – On the panel, cut the ‘V’ for the neck and sew the top seam shut.
Step 5 – Attach one side of the snap strip to the right side of the panel.
Step 6 – Sew the panel as close as you can to the left seam of the BDU coat, all the way up to the shoulder seam, and along the collar-bone seam to the collar.
Step 7 – Sew the snap strip to the right side of the BDU coat. CAUTION – Make sure that the snaps line up with your panel, or else your panel will be off and look all sad.
